Terms of Service for FitterPals

1. Overview

FitterPals (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a platform for users to participate in fitness challenges, track activity, and view leaderboards.

FitterPals is operated by FitterPals Limited, based in New Zealand.

By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility

You must:

• Be at least 13 years old
• Provide accurate account information
• Use the app in accordance with these terms

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these requirements.

3. How FitterPals Works

FitterPals allows users to:

• Join fitness challenges
• Track activity through supported integrations, such as Apple Health
• Compete on leaderboards based on recorded activity

Challenge results are based on activity data recorded during the challenge period.

4. Nature of Challenges

FitterPals provides skill-based fitness challenges.

Winners are determined by measurable physical activity, such as distance completed, not by chance.

FitterPals does not provide gambling or games of chance.

5. Financial Disclaimer

FitterPals does not process payments, hold funds, or facilitate financial transactions within the app.

Any rewards or prizes associated with challenges are managed outside of the app.

6. Activity Tracking & Accuracy

• Activity data is collected from connected sources, such as Apple Health
• Only eligible and verified activity may count toward challenges
• Activities outside the challenge period may not be counted

FitterPals does not guarantee perfect accuracy of third-party data sources.

7. Fair Use & Prohibited Behavior

You agree not to:

• Submit false or manipulated activity data
• Use unauthorized tools or methods to gain an unfair advantage
• Attempt to exploit bugs or system weaknesses
• Impersonate other users

We reserve the right to remove activity, adjust results, or suspend accounts if unfair behavior is detected.

8. Admin Review & Decisions

Certain activities may be subject to review.

FitterPals administrators may:

• Approve or reject activity submissions
• Adjust leaderboard rankings
• Remove users from challenges

We reserve the right to modify, cancel, or remove challenges at any time.

All decisions made for maintaining fairness are final.

9. Leaderboards & Results

• Leaderboards are based on recorded and accepted activity
• Rankings may change if activity is reviewed or corrected
• Final challenge results are determined at the end of each challenge period

10. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts if:

• These terms are violated
• Suspicious or unfair activity is detected
• The app is misused in any way

11. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting support@fitterpals.app.

12. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service, but:

• The app may occasionally be unavailable
• Features may change or be updated at any time

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

13. Limitation of Liability

FitterPals is provided “as is”.

You acknowledge that participation in physical activity carries inherent risks. You agree to use the app at your own risk and consult a medical professional if necessary.

We are not responsible for:

• Inaccuracies in activity data
• Loss of data
• Any indirect or consequential damages

Use of the app is at your own risk.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be handled in New Zealand courts.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time.

Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
